Great Ideas For Kids Playhouses

From a very young age right through to their teens, getting your children a playhouse is bound to make you very popular and give them something they can enjoy for many years. Kids playhouses are great because they give children somewhere of their very own to escape to. It means having their own space that they can do what they want with, decorate and move around furniture, and have their own secrets and adventures which are nothing to do with their parents or the outside world.

Siblings may choose to have their own secret society inside their playhouse, or enjoy playing at being their own family. Children on their own will find it a place to play with their dolls or escape to at the end of a long day that is just far enough outside of the family home to make it a real retreat for them.

There are plenty of incredible kids playhouses available in shops and online. You can choose from plastic versions which can be transported in and out of the house depending on the weather, and so that your children can enjoy their little home wherever they please depending on their moods. These playhouses are best for smaller children, and will usually be big enough for one or two children to play in at the same time.

For older kids and for those who are looking for something more permanent, you can get great wooden playhouses which are designed to live in the garden and have a range of features which make them the perfect little home for any child. These will usually have proper flooring, windows and doors, and some may even have more than one level to give kids a really exciting space to escape to, which can be decorated according to their wishes and whims.

Even more exciting, and a real chance to get away from it all, a treehouse can be an exciting and adventurous option for children. If you have a tree large enough in the garden, the treehouse will be built relatively high up and will only be accessed by a ladder, which will make it more difficult for parents to enter and make children feel more that it is their own territory. If there is no tree, treehouses can also be purchased which are simply raised off of the ground on a platform, often with something underneath, such as a sandpit or swing set, meaning you’ll probably never see your children again as they have everything they need in one place!

If you are looking for something cheaper, remember that kids will adore any form of playhouse or space that they can make their own, so why not create one yourself using a large cardboard box, sheets or wood? You can create a sweet tent or wigwam which would work well in the summer months, or a little cardboard house which your child can decorate themselves.
